Whether you’re a native New Englander or you’ve never been to the area, we have four reasons why you should attend a New England Summer Camp.
Field Trips to Incredible Locations
New England is home to numerous exciting places to visit, making it likely that your summer camp will offer a field trip to at least one of them! From venues like Mystic Seaport and Aquarium to Plimoth Plantation, there’s a ton of historical locations to visit to get an idea of life from years past. Attend Cheshire Academy’s summer camp, and you’ll head off on field trips to the Boston Science Museum and the American Museum of Natural History. Plus, New England is home to several amusement parks, like Six Flags New England and Lake Compounce. There’s no end to the exciting places that you could visit.
Close to the Beach
Whether your New England summer camp visits the beach for fun in the sun or to explore what lies beneath the ocean, heading to the coast is a popular excursion during the summer. Cheshire Academy’s Sustainable Earth summer camp has an entire session designed to explore the ocean, including the chance to investigate several bodies of water using a remotely tethered submersible.
New England is known for its bright sunny summer days, with warm temperatures in the 70s and 80s. The evenings tend to cool down to the 60s, making it great weather for campfires at night. It’s ideal weather for swimming, hiking, biking, and just having fun outside.
Convenient Location for Travel
New England is home to several major airports, and is also close to New York City, making it one of the most easily accessible locations. Take the worry out of your summer camp travel, and relax knowing you can get where you need to go, whether it’s via plane, train, bus, or subway.
