My Cheshire Academy Summer Internship Experience

This summer I got the opportunity to help out in the Marketing and Communications Department here on campus in Bowden Hall. I got to work with Ms. Jagodowski, Mr. Barbierri, Ms. Garzi, and Ms. Dillon. I learned so much over a short period of time.

One of the first things I worked on was blogging. I came into the department with little experience with writing a blog. I then had help from Ms. Garzi and I wrote my first blog called “5 Things to Be Excited About When You Come to CA” on the “Cheshire Academy Scratchup.”

I then worked with Photoshop editing photos for the “Cheshire Academy Hall of Fame” on the website. I learned how to crop and edit photos using that program. At first I was very unfamiliar with the program, but after a lot of help I got the hang of it.

Later in the summer I was introduced to working on design projects such as creating invitations for the school. I learned how to layout the invitation and how to organize it.

Next time you get a printed invitation from Cheshire Academy, take a good look at it! It might be made by me during my time interning this summer.

Overall, this summer was a great experience for me. I learned so much in so little time. I am looking forward to the school year and learning even more in my classes.
