The Final Stretch

Wow! I cannot believe this school year is over. The year is winding down with graduation in a few short days and underclassmen exams in a week. This is a stressful time for our students, but summer is in sight! The weather has certainly given everyone summer fever as the temperatures have been in the 80’s and close to 90 degrees the last week. I know we can all get through these last few days and make it to a well deserved break. Continue reading The Final Stretch

Games, Plays and Championships Oh My!

What a fun weekend on campus! Friday night I was able to go to Comedy Tonight, the final performance of the year from our drama club. The skits were really funny and everyone did a great job. I mean, if you can do impressions of Miss Minahan, Ms. Anderson and Mr. Dykeman in the same show, you’re doing it right! Continue reading Games, Plays and Championships Oh My!

Taking the Show on the Road

One of the great things about Cheshire Academy is our central location between New York and Boston. This gives our students different field trip opportunities and weekend trips to these cities. Also, we are located 20 minutes from New Haven and Yale University. Different trips, such as going to the Yale art museum, are organized for our students. A few weeks ago, my English class took a field trip to New York City to watch “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime” on Broadway. The play was amazing and all of the students had a great time! Continue reading Taking the Show on the Road

Prom 2K16

Cheshire Academy held their annual Junior and Senior Prom this past weekend at The Farmington Club. The night was filled with great food, dancing, and casino games. The theme of the night was “Casino Night,” where the senior class officers provided games such as Texas Hold’em’ and Blackjack. Students also had the opportunity to win prizes if they made the most “money” at the gaming tables.  Also, CA crowned its 2016 prom King, Queen, Prince, and Princess. Our King and Queen from the Senior class were Tommy Costello and Davi Hertz and from the Junior class, C.J. Holmes and Hannah Gailey were voted Prince and Princess! It was a great evening all around!
