Sitting for the IB Exams

For the Class of 2016, the International Baccalaureate exams have officially arrived. The IB tests always bring about feelings of stress and anxiety for the students taking them. Particularly for the IB diploma candidates, such as myself, the two weeks of exams (fourteen tests throughout six subjects) can be a difficult time. Exploring the International Baccalaureate

In the fall of 2011, my eighth grade year, Cheshire Academy was designated as an International Baccalaureate® World School. Before coming to Cheshire Academy, I had never heard of the program and was much more familiar with the Advanced Placement (AP) program and other honors courses offered to high schoolers. During my time at Cheshire Academy, I learned more about the program from my classmates and teachers. When I was a junior, I made the decision to embark on the two-year IB diploma program at CA. The College Experience in High School

One of my favorite activities at Cheshire Academy is working as a school ambassador. The Ambassadors Program is more than just providing tours to prospective students, it’s speaking with families on revisit days, bringing future students to classes and being a representative of the school. My decision to come to CA five years ago was partially based on all of the friendly and welcoming people I met in the Admissions Office, from my student tour guide to my faculty interviewer. Because of this, I have always had a strong commitment to the Ambassador Program with the hopes of giving future Cheshire Academy students the same great experience I had.
